On June 22, 2006, the USA International Ballet Competition (IBC) announced their 48 competitors that will advance to Round II in the competition later this week. Every four years in Mississippi, the USA IBC holds three rounds of competitions where dancers from the USA, Japan, Cuba, Armenia, Belarus, Ukraine, Mexico, Columbia, Germany and many other countries battle en pointe for scholorships, medals and various titles to add to their resumes.
