» woorama - ballet for all in south africa

i found this piece really inspiring. it's funny, often the best expressions of arts canon media spring from communities in poverty. it's like there's little inspiration to be drawn from a priveleged or middle-class background.

also, when people attempt art forms from a different ethnicity of origin, whole new styles emerge. i'm from the land of "stomp" - so know this all too well!

great article. look forward to reading many more.

thanks for the feedback tyson =)
i too find cultures apart from the western ideal to be fascinating and quite inspiring. although i am a native of one of the most poverty-stricken countries in the world, i was very blest to have grown up in north america. awareness is all we have in economically successful countries - this article and your whole webpage (Aboriginal Rights on Suite101.com) are just a part of that cause.
thanks for sharing your insight and point of view as well! keep up the good work
