i found this piece really inspiring. it's funny, often the best expressions of arts canon media spring from communities in poverty. it's like there's little inspiration to be drawn from a priveleged or middle-class background.also, when people attempt art forms from a different ethnicity of origin, whole new styles emerge. i'm from the land of "stomp" - so know this all too well!
great article. look forward to reading many more.
