» OlegDSA - Online Evaluation vs. Clinic

There is a brand new service on internet - online evaluation of dance performance.
Evaluation is performed by undisputable leaders of ballet, jazz, ballroom base on a video you provide. Please check the site http://www.DancingStarAudition.com/ and express your opinion: Could it be a good substitute for clinic to prepare yourself for competition, audition, etc.? Can you see any other applications of this service?

In response to Online Evaluation vs. Clinic posted by OlegDSA:
OlegDSA,

I apologize for my late response. But I'll have to take a closer look at this online evaluation.

To be perfectly honest, getting an instructor's live opinion is far more advisable for anyone starting out in the biz. If you have a dance teacher who you've been working with for a while and will give you their honest opinions, I'd get an "in" with them and see what they say about your demo reel and your CV. They may even hook you up with some jobs.

Further, there are online dancer/choreographer/teacher services available per region. In Vancouver/BC Canada there is the CADA/BC which is a great resource for job postings and getting into the community - and it's FREE!

Hopefully that helped a bit. Please email me if you'd like to further discuss this and I will definitely look into DanceStarAudition to see if they are suitable.

Thanks for posting!
